How we make money, what advertising you see on this site, and how we keep our editorial content independent of advertisers.
The Healing Nobs is a free-to-use website. We don't charge for our content, our calculators, our PDFs, or our diet charts. To keep the site running, we display advertising. This page explains exactly how, so you know what you're seeing and why.
Our primary revenue source is display advertising served through Google AdSense. AdSense automatically chooses ads to show based on the content of the page you're reading and, with your consent, your browsing history.
For full details on advertising cookies and how to opt out, see our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy. To opt out of personalised ads across Google's network, visit Google Ads Settings.
As of April 2026, this site does not use affiliate links. If we ever introduce them, we will:
We do not publish sponsored content. No company, brand, or product has paid for editorial coverage on this site. No paragraph, sentence, or recommendation has been authored or directed by an outside party. If this ever changes, every sponsored piece will be clearly labelled "Sponsored content" or "Paid partnership" at the top of the page, in line with FTC and ASA guidelines.
We sometimes mention specific products by name — for example, "Omron upper-arm BP monitors are reliable." These mentions are based on our independent assessment of evidence and user reports. We are not paid for these mentions, and the brands have no editorial relationship with us. If we ever begin a paid relationship with any product brand, we will disclose it on this page and on every page where the product is mentioned.
If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is used only to send you newsletter content. We do not sell, share, or rent email addresses to third parties. We do not place advertising inside the newsletter (as of April 2026); if this changes, we will notify subscribers in advance and label sponsored content clearly.
We do not currently accept donations or run a reader-support programme. If we add one in future, it will be clearly distinguished from advertising and disclosed here.
You should know who pays the people writing what you read. Our short answer: advertisers pay our hosting bills, but readers pay our editorial bills — in the sense that our reputation, traffic, and continued existence depend on you trusting our content. If we recommended things based on what advertisers wanted, we'd lose readers, and if we lose readers we lose advertisers. The incentive aligns: be useful to readers first.
