The most common questions we receive about The Healing Nobs — how content is created, how the site works, how we make money, and how to get help. Can’t find your question? Email us at [email protected].
Is the content on this site medical advice?
No. The Healing Nobs provides educational, evidence-based food and nutrition information — not medical advice. Our content is reviewed by a practising, licensed physician, but it's intended to inform you and complement guidance from your own healthcare providers. For diagnosis, treatment, or medication decisions, please consult a qualified clinician. See our
Medical Disclaimer.
Who writes and reviews the content?
Content is researched and written in-house by our editorial team, then reviewed for clinical accuracy by a practising, licensed physician before publication. Our reviewers work in government hospital practice and have asked not to be named publicly, so we publish our review process and review dates instead. Every review is logged internally. See
About Us and
Editorial Policy for how content is reviewed.
How often is content updated?
Every condition page is reviewed at least annually, with the “Last reviewed” date displayed publicly. We update content immediately when major clinical guidelines change — for example, when WHO, NICE, or the American Heart Association issues new recommendations. Q&A pages are audited quarterly. Blog posts are updated whenever underlying evidence shifts.
Are the recipes, diet charts, and meal plans really free?
Yes. Everything on this site is free to use. The 14 diet charts, 4 meal plans, 5 recipes, 4 calculators, food database, and symptom checker have no paywall, no email gate, and no required signup. Our hosting and editorial costs are funded through display advertising. See our
Advertising Disclosure.
Can I print the diet charts and meal plans?
Yes. All 14 diet charts and 4 meal plans are available as printable PDF downloads. Look for the “Download PDF” button on each page. The PDFs are designed for A4 and US Letter sizes, are mobile-screen-readable, and don't require any signup.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information for marketing purposes. Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to our servers. Email addresses you provide (newsletter, contact form) are used only for the purpose you provided them. See our
Privacy Policy for full details, including how we handle Google AdSense advertising cookies.
How accurate are the recovery timelines on condition pages?
The recovery timelines (for example, “DASH diet can lower BP within 4–8 weeks”) are based on average results from peer-reviewed clinical trials. Individual results vary based on starting health, condition severity, adherence, genetics, and concurrent medical care. These timelines are intended to set realistic expectations, not guarantee outcomes. Always pair lifestyle changes with appropriate medical follow-up.
Why are the “healing stories” presented as composite narratives?
Our healing stories are
composite, dramatised narratives — not interviews with named individuals. They illustrate realistic recovery patterns based on common clinical outcomes and published case patterns. We chose this format to protect privacy while still showing what genuine recovery often looks like. Each story page carries a clear notice. See our
Methodology.
Can food really reverse health conditions?
Some conditions are highly responsive to dietary change — type 2 diabetes (in many cases), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatty liver, and most nutritional deficiencies. Others are influenced by diet but generally require medical management alongside (autoimmune conditions, severe heart disease, advanced kidney disease). We don't claim food alone cures everything — we describe what the research actually shows for each condition, including when medication is the better path.
Why don't you recommend specific supplement brands?
Brand recommendations would create conflicts of interest if they were paid (they're not), and would inevitably go out of date even when independent. Instead, we recommend the active form of a nutrient (for example, magnesium glycinate over magnesium oxide), the effective dose from clinical trials, and what to look for on a label. This lets readers make informed decisions across pharmacies and price points.
Is the Symptom Checker a substitute for a doctor?
No. Our Symptom Checker is an educational tool that helps you find the most relevant condition pages on our site based on what you're experiencing. It does not diagnose, and it cannot rule out serious illness. If symptoms are severe, persistent, or accompanied by red-flag signs (chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden severe headache, vision changes, etc.), seek medical care immediately. Use 999 (UK), 911 (US), 112 (EU), or your local emergency number.
How do I get in touch?
Email
[email protected]. We read every message. Our typical response time is 2 working days. For corrections, use subject “Correction.” For accessibility issues, use subject “Accessibility.” For media or partnership enquiries, use subject “Media.” See our
Contact page.
How can I support the site?
Three ways: (1) share content that helps you with someone else who might benefit, (2) tell us when you spot an error or unclear explanation — we improve based on reader feedback, and (3) allow advertising cookies if you're comfortable doing so — advertising revenue is what keeps the site free. We're not currently accepting donations.
Who runs The Healing Nobs, and where?
The Healing Nobs is a fully remote publication with no public office. Our content is written for an international audience, with references drawn from WHO, NICE, the NHS, and peer-reviewed journals rather than any single country's guidance. You can reach us any time at
[email protected].
Why don't I see ads on this page?
We don't show advertising on certain page types — legal pages, contact pages, accessibility pages, sensitive crisis-related content, and pages where ads would compromise the user experience. See our
Advertising Disclosure.
